Overview

Sino19 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Sinobioway Cell Therapy. It is genetically engineered to express a CAR construct targeting two cell surface proteins: CD19, commonly expressed on B-cell malignancies (notably B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, B-ALL, and diffuse large B cell lymphoma), and CD137 (4-1BB), a co-stimulatory molecule intended to enhance the persistence and activation of the modified T cells[1][2][3]. Sino19 exerts its effects via immunologic cytotoxicity, with the infused CAR T cells recognizing and eliminating CD19-positive malignant B cells. Clinical trials in patients with relapsed/refractory B-ALL indicate a high overall remission rate and an acceptable safety profile, with cytokine release syndrome and neurotoxicity as primary risks[2][3].
