Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SINOGEL is a medical device designed for intraarticular viscosupplementation, developed by IBSA Farmaceutici Italia. It features a unique formulation of Hybrid Cooperative Complexes (HCC) consisting of 2.4% sodium hyaluronate and 1.6% sodium chondroitin of biotechnological origin. This technology allows for the administration of a high concentration of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid without the typical increase in viscosity, facilitating easier injection into the joint space. SINOGEL is primarily indicated for the treatment of symptomatic osteoarthritis, particularly in the knee and hip, where it works to restore the viscoelastic properties of the synovial fluid, thereby reducing pain, alleviating stiffness, and improving physical function.
