Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sinomarin Bebés is a 100% natural, clinically tested nasal decongestant designed specifically for infants and babies. It consists of a hypertonic sea water solution containing 2.3% sodium chloride (NaCl), which is rich in beneficial marine mineral salts and trace elements. Developed by Gerolymatos International and marketed in Portugal by Laboratórios Azevedos, Sinomarin Bebés works through the natural mechanism of osmosis to draw out excess water from the swollen nasal mucosa, thereby reducing edema and relieving nasal congestion. It also helps to cleanse the nasal cavities by thinning and eliminating mucus, allergens, and infectious agents, which helps prevent secondary ear, nose, and throat complications such as otitis. The product is packaged in sterile, single-dose vials and is approved as a medical device for the relief of nasal congestion associated with the common cold, flu, allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis.
