It is primarily utilized in China for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory joint diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and Kashin-Beck disease. The drug exerts its therapeutic effects by inhibiting the activation of the NF-κB signaling pathway, which subsequently reduces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-1β, and suppresses the expression of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2).
