Sinovac PCV24

Sinovac PCV24 is a 24-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine developed by Sinovac Life Science. It is designed to protect against disease caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumococcus) and includes antigens from 24 different serotypes of the bacterium. The vaccine works by inducing an immune response against these serotypes through the use of polysaccharides from the bacterial capsule that are chemically linked (conjugated) to a carrier protein, enhancing immunogenicity especially in young children and older adults. The primary indication for this vaccine is the prevention of invasive pneumococcal diseases such as pneumonia and septicemia in both adults and children.
