Sintilimab + capecitabine + oxaliplatin is a combination therapy used primarily in the treatment of advanced or metastatic gastric and gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma. Sintilimab is a fully human IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets programmed death 1 (PD-1), blocking its interaction with PD-L1 and PD-L2, thereby enhancing T-cell mediated immune responses against tumor cells. Capecitabine is an oral prodrug of 5-fluorouracil, a pyrimidine antimetabolite that inhibits DNA synthesis in rapidly dividing cells. Oxaliplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that induces DNA crosslinking and apoptosis in cancer cells.
