sintilimab + gemcitabine + carboplatin

A combination therapy consisting of sintilimab (a PD-1 inhibitor), gemcitabine (a nucleoside analog), and carboplatin (a platinum-based chemotherapy agent). This regimen combines immunotherapy with traditional chemotherapy to enhance anti-tumor effects. Sintilimab blocks the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway, preventing cancer cells from evading immune detection. Gemcitabine inhibits DNA synthesis and has immunomodulatory properties that may enhance response to immunotherapy. Carboplatin forms DNA crosslinks, preventing cell division. The combination has shown improved efficacy compared to chemotherapy alone in advanced cancers, particularly squamous non-small cell lung cancer.
