Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of sintilimab, a selective anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody, and nab-paclitaxel (albumin-bound paclitaxel), a chemotherapy agent. This combination demonstrates synergistic antitumor activity by combining immune checkpoint inhibition with cytotoxic effects. Sintilimab blocks the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands to restore T-cell immune function, while nab-paclitaxel disrupts microtubule dynamics leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. The combination is being investigated for various advanced cancers including cervical cancer, biliary tract cancer, and gastric/gastroesophageal junction cancer.
