Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sinupret is a standardized phytotherapeutic product developed by Bionorica SE, composed of a specific combination of five herbal ingredients: gentian root (Gentiana lutea), primrose flowers (Primula veris), sorrel herb (Rumex acetosa), elder flowers (Sambucus nigra), and vervain herb (Verbena officinalis). It is primarily indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic rhinosinusitis. The drug exerts a multi-target effect, including secretolytic activity by stimulating chloride secretion via the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR), anti-inflammatory action through the inhibition of cyclooxygenase-2 and 5-lipoxygenase, and broad-spectrum antiviral activity against common respiratory viruses. It is widely utilized in Europe and Asia (marketed as 欧龙马 in China) as an evidence-based herbal treatment for respiratory congestion and inflammation.
