Drug intelligence / Profile preview
sIPV + MMR refers to a co-administration immunization strategy involving the Sabin-strain inactivated poliovirus vaccine (sIPV) developed by Sinovac Biotech and a measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine. The sIPV component is an inactivated biologic containing poliovirus types 1, 2, and 3 derived from Sabin strains, while the MMR component is a live attenuated vaccine targeting measles, mumps, and rubella viruses. This strategy is designed to improve childhood immunization coverage and reduce administrative costs by allowing simultaneous administration. Phase IV clinical trials published in 2026 demonstrated that co-administration in 18-month-old children is safe and produces non-inferior immune responses compared to separate administration, achieving 100% seroprotection for all poliovirus types and high seropositivity for measles, mumps, and rubella.
