This is a combination immunization regimen involving three vaccines: Sabin inactivated poliovirus vaccine (sIPV), diphtheria-tetanus-acellular pertussis (DTaP) vaccine, and measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine. The sIPV component uses the attenuated Sabin strain to induce immunity against polioviruses with lower biosafety risks compared to traditional Salk-based IPV. DTaP is an acellular formulation providing protection against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis by inducing antibody responses to bacterial toxins and antigens. MMR is a live attenuated viral vaccine that induces immunity against measles, mumps, and rubella viruses through stimulation of both humoral and cellular immune responses. These vaccines are often administered concomitantly in pediatric immunization schedules for broad protection against multiple serious infectious diseases[1][2][3]. Co-administration has been shown to be safe without compromising immunogenicity; however, some studies suggest a possible increase in certain adverse events such as febrile seizures or respiratory infections when live and inactivated vaccines are given together[1][2][5].
