Drug intelligence / Profile preview
sIPV vaccine + DTaP vaccine refers to the concomitant administration of Sinovac Biotech's Sabin-strain inactivated poliovirus vaccine (sIPV) and a diphtheria-tetanus-acellular pertussis (DTaP) vaccine. The sIPV component is a trivalent inactivated vaccine produced from Sabin poliovirus types 1, 2, and 3 grown on Vero cells, while the DTaP vaccine provides protection against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis. This co-administration strategy is intended for the primary and booster immunization of infants and children starting from 2 months of age. Clinical studies, including Phase 4 trials, have evaluated the safety and immunogenicity of this simultaneous vaccination approach, demonstrating that it is well-tolerated and provides effective immune responses against all targeted pathogens without significant interference between the components.
