Overview

SIR-T CD123 is an engineered cell therapy being developed by Angeles Therapeutics for the treatment of CD123-expressing malignancies. The therapy utilizes the company's proprietary **Synthetic Immune Receptor (SIR)** platform, which is designed to redirect T cells to recognize specific antigens using a structure that more closely mimics the natural T-cell receptor (TCR) complex compared to traditional chimeric antigen receptors (CARs). By targeting **CD123** (interleukin-3 receptor alpha), which is highly expressed on leukemic stem cells and blasts in conditions such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN), SIR-T CD123 aims to provide potent anti-tumor activity with potentially improved physiological signaling and reduced exhaustion. The program is currently in the IND-enabling phase of development.
