SIR-T CD19 is an autologous cell therapy candidate developed by Angeles Therapeutics, utilizing their proprietary Synthetic Immune Receptor (SIR-T) platform. The therapy involves T cells engineered to express a synthetic receptor that specifically targets the CD19 antigen, a protein highly expressed on the surface of B-cell malignancies. The SIR-T platform is designed to integrate with the natural T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling complex, aiming to provide more physiological activation and improved persistence compared to traditional chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies. Currently in IND-enabling studies, SIR-T CD19 is being developed for the treatment of various B-cell cancers, including lymphomas and leukemias.
