SIR-T CD33 is an investigational cell therapy being developed by Angeles Therapeutics for the treatment of CD33-positive malignancies. The therapy utilizes the company's proprietary Synthetic Immune Receptor (SIR-T) platform, which involves engineering T cells with a modular receptor designed to mimic natural T-cell signaling pathways for improved activation and persistence. By targeting the transmembrane protein CD33, which is highly expressed on myeloid cells and leukemic blasts, SIR-T CD33 aims to selectively identify and eliminate cancerous cells in conditions such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The program is currently in the discovery stage of development.
