Overview

SIR-T EGFRvIII is an experimental cell therapy being developed by Angeles Therapeutics for the treatment of cancers expressing the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor variant III (EGFRvIII) mutation, such as glioblastoma. The therapy utilizes the company's proprietary Synthetic Immune Receptor (SIR-T) platform, which involves engineering T cells to express a receptor designed to mimic the natural T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling complex. This approach is intended to provide more physiological T-cell activation and improved persistence compared to traditional Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies. The program is currently in the discovery stage of development.
