SIR-T Her2 is an autologous cell therapy candidate developed by Angeles Therapeutics, utilizing their proprietary Synthetic Immune Receptor (SIR-T) platform. The therapy consists of T cells engineered to express a synthetic receptor that targets the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2), a protein frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors such as breast, gastric, and lung cancers. The SIR-T platform is designed to mimic the natural T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling complex more closely than traditional Chimeric Antigen Receptors (CARs), which may lead to improved T-cell persistence, reduced exhaustion, and enhanced efficacy within the immunosuppressive solid tumor microenvironment. As of 2024, the program is undergoing IND-enabling studies to support future clinical trials.
