SIR-T Mesothelin is an autologous cell therapy candidate being developed by Angeles Therapeutics for the treatment of solid tumors that express mesothelin. The therapy utilizes the company's proprietary Synthetic Immune Receptor (SIR) platform, specifically the SIR-T modality, which is engineered to provide T cells with a synthetic receptor that mimics the natural T-cell receptor (TCR) complex. This design is intended to achieve more physiological T-cell activation, enhanced metabolic fitness, and improved persistence within the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment compared to traditional CAR-T therapies. Mesothelin is a cell-surface glycoprotein that is highly expressed in several aggressive malignancies, including mesothelioma, ovarian cancer, and pancreatic adenocarcinoma, making it a viable target for directed immunotherapy. SIR-T Mesothelin is currently undergoing IND-enabling studies.
