Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SIR-T PSMA is an engineered cell therapy candidate developed by Angeles Therapeutics for the treatment of PSMA-expressing malignancies, primarily prostate cancer. The therapy utilizes the company's proprietary Synthetic Immune Receptor (SIR-T) platform, which engineers T cells to express a receptor that recognizes Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA). This SIR-T architecture is designed to engage the natural T-cell signaling machinery more effectively than traditional Chimeric Antigen Receptors (CARs), potentially enhancing the persistence and anti-tumor activity of the cells within the immunosuppressive solid tumor microenvironment. The program is currently undergoing IND-enabling studies.
