SIR-T STEAP1 is an engineered cell therapy candidate developed by Angeles Therapeutics, currently in the IND-enabling phase of development. It utilizes the company's proprietary Synthetic Immune Receptor (SIR-T) platform, which is designed to mimic the natural T-cell receptor (TCR) complex to provide potent and regulated T-cell activation. The therapy specifically targets Six-Transmembrane Epithelial Antigen of the Prostate 1 (STEAP1), a cell-surface protein that is highly expressed in prostate cancer and several other solid malignancies but has limited expression in normal tissues. By engineering T-cells to express SIR-T receptors specific to STEAP1, the therapy aims to selectively recognize and eliminate STEAP1-positive tumor cells.
