Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SIR-T STEAP2 is an investigational cell therapy being developed by Angeles Therapeutics for the treatment of prostate cancer. It is built on the proprietary Synthetic Immune Receptor (SIR) platform, which engineers T cells to provide physiological T cell receptor (TCR) signaling. This mechanism is intended to offer enhanced antigen sensitivity and superior tumor control with a reduced risk of excessive cytokine production compared to conventional CAR-T products. The therapy specifically targets Six-Transmembrane Epithelial Antigen of the Prostate 2 (STEAP2), a cell-surface antigen highly expressed in prostate cancer. The program is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
