siRASA3 is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to silence the expression of the RASA3 (RAS p21 protein activator 3) gene through RNA interference. RASA3 is a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) that serves as a critical negative regulator of Rap1 and Ras small GTPases, which are essential for platelet activation, integrin-mediated adhesion, and the maintenance of vascular endothelial stability. By reducing RASA3 protein levels, siRASA3 induces constitutive Rap1 activation, making it a valuable tool in research for studying the molecular mechanisms of thrombocytopenia, megakaryocyte differentiation, and hemorrhage. It is primarily utilized as a research-use-only (RUO) reagent in laboratory settings to investigate the functional consequences of RASA3 deficiency and is not currently associated with a specific clinical development program.
