siRNA against PLD1 (phospholipase D1) is a research-use-only small interfering RNA designed to silence the expression of the PLD1 gene. Phospholipase D1 is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphatidylcholine to generate phosphatidic acid, a key lipid second messenger involved in membrane remodeling, vesicle trafficking, and cell signaling. In laboratory research, PLD1 siRNA is widely utilized to investigate the role of PLD1 in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, migration, exosome secretion, and inflammatory responses, particularly in cancer cell lines (such as breast cancer and melanoma) and inflammatory disease models.
