siRNA ETS1 is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to silence the expression of the ETS proto-oncogene 1 (ETS1) transcription factor. In the context of intestinal fibrosis and Crohn's disease research, it is utilized to investigate the role of ETS1 in regulating the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) and the activation of intestinal fibroblasts. By targeting ETS1 mRNA for degradation via the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway, it reduces ETS1 protein levels, which has been shown to decrease the expression of downstream factors such as IL-8 and BCL2. This molecule serves as a critical tool for understanding the molecular mechanisms of fibroblast-mediated tissue remodeling in inflammatory bowel diseases.
