Overview

siRNA FOSL1 is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to silence the expression of the FOSL1 (FOS-like 1) gene, also known as Fra-1. FOSL1 is a member of the AP-1 transcription factor family and plays a critical role in regulating the stemness, proliferation, and survival of glioma stem cells (GSCs). Research indicates that FOSL1 expression is positively regulated by TRPM7-mediated STAT3 activation. By targeting FOSL1 mRNA for degradation via the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway, siRNA FOSL1 reduces the expression of GSC markers such as CD133 and decreases ALDH1 enzymatic activity, thereby inhibiting the self-renewal and tumorigenic potential of glioblastoma cells. It is primarily used as a research tool to investigate the TRPM7/STAT3/FOSL1 signaling axis in glioma progression.
