Overview

siRNA targeting NR2F2 is a research-use-only small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to knock down the expression of nuclear receptor subfamily 2 group F member 2 (NR2F2, also known as COUP-TFII). NR2F2 is an orphan nuclear receptor that plays critical roles in embryonic development, cell differentiation, angiogenesis, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). In oncology research, NR2F2 knockdown via siRNA has been widely utilized to investigate its dual roles in tumor progression, metastasis, and drug resistance across various malignancies, including breast cancer, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), lung adenocarcinoma, and colorectal cancer. Depending on the cellular context, silencing NR2F2 can either inhibit or promote cell proliferation and invasion, making it a valuable tool for dissecting the molecular pathways of tumorigenesis and identifying potential therapeutic targets.
