siRNA targeting RACGAP1 is a therapeutic modality designed to silence the expression of the Rac GTPase-activating protein 1 (RACGAP1) gene through RNA interference. RACGAP1 is a key regulator of cytokinesis and has been identified as a significant prognostic biomarker for recurrence in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Preclinical research indicates that the use of RACGAP1-specific siRNA in high-expression HCC cell lines inhibits cell migration and invasiveness by down-regulating mitotic and DNA damage response molecules such as PRC1, AURKB, and CDC2. This approach aims to mitigate the aggressive phenotype of HCC and potentially improve survival outcomes in patients at high risk for post-resection recurrence.
