siRNA targeting TBX2-AS1 is a small interfering RNA designed to silence the expression of the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) TBX2-AS1. Identified through integrative genomics in pediatric cancers, TBX2-AS1 is an oncogenic lncRNA that is highly expressed in neuroblastoma and is regulated by cancer-specific transcription factors. Preclinical research conducted at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania demonstrated that siRNA-mediated knockdown of TBX2-AS1 by over 90% significantly inhibits the growth of neuroblastoma cell lines. This suggests that TBX2-AS1 plays a critical role in tumor cell proliferation and may serve as a potential therapeutic target in pediatric solid tumors.
