Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SIS-204E-OPH is a preclinical-stage RNA therapeutic developed by SiSaf for the treatment of inflammatory eye diseases. The drug utilizes SiSaf's proprietary stabilized synthetic hydromimetic Lipid Nanoparticle (sshLNP) delivery platform, which incorporates bioabsorbable silicon into the lipid matrix to enhance the stability and delivery efficiency of nucleic acid payloads. SIS-204E-OPH delivers a small interfering RNA (siRNA) payload designed to modulate inflammatory pathways. Based on SiSaf's SIS-204 program for other inflammatory conditions such as psoriasis, the therapeutic payload is an siRNA targeting Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha (TNF-α). The ophthalmic formulation is intended for localized delivery to ocular tissues, aiming to provide a sustained anti-inflammatory effect while minimizing the systemic side effects associated with traditional anti-TNF therapies.
