Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SISU-102 is a small-molecule degrader targeting Heat Shock Factor 1 (HSF1), developed by Sisu Pharma using its proprietary HI-LiTe (HSF1-Interacting-Ligand Technology) platform. HSF1 is a master transcription factor that regulates the cellular proteotoxic stress response, which many viruses, including SARS-CoV-2 and other coronaviruses, hijack to facilitate their replication and survival. By inducing the degradation of HSF1, SISU-102 disrupts these host-dependent viral processes, leading to a significant reduction in viral titers and infectious particle production. The compound has demonstrated efficacy in preclinical models, including in vitro assays and in vivo human skin xenograft murine models, and is being investigated for the treatment of COVID-19 and other viral infections.
