SITBL2-1 is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to specifically target and silence the TBL2 gene. Research indicates that knockdown of TBL2 by SITBL2-1 significantly inhibits the proliferation, migration, invasion, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of glioblastoma (GBM) cells, while promoting apoptosis. This therapeutic effect is mediated by the enhancement of autophagy through the AMPK/mTOR signaling pathway. These findings suggest that SITBL2-1, by modulating TBL2, could represent a potential therapeutic agent for glioblastoma.
