Overview

TAK-007 (sitocabnagene loxiveluecel) is an allogeneic, off-the-shelf, cryopreserved cell therapy composed of umbilical cord blood-derived natural killer (NK) cells genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting CD19, a protein commonly found on the surface of B cells. The CAR construct includes costimulatory domains and interleukin 15 to enhance NK cell persistence and antitumor activity[2][3][5][8]. TAK-007 is being developed primarily for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma, including large B-cell lymphoma and indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma[1][4][5]. It is also under investigation for other immune-mediated diseases such as lupus nephritis and systemic scleroderma[8]. The drug is being developed by Takeda in collaboration with Precision BioSciences[7].
