SIWA318M is a murine monoclonal antibody developed by SIWA Therapeutics as a research tool and precursor to the humanized therapeutic antibody SIWA318H. It specifically targets advanced glycation end products (AGEs), particularly carboxymethyl lysine (CML), which serves as a biomarker (SIWA Marker) for senescent and dysfunctional cells. These cells are often associated with aging, cancer, and various disease processes. In preclinical studies, including collaborations with the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), SIWA318M has been used to demonstrate the targeting and removal of senescent cells in tumors, such as pancreatic cancer and cancer-associated fibroblasts, primarily through antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC). It serves as a critical proof-of-concept tool for the development of SIWA's anti-senescence therapeutic pipeline.
