SJ02

SJ02 is a long-acting recombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) carboxyl-terminal peptide (CTP) fusion protein developed by Centergene Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Shanghai Bao Pharmaceuticals (BaoPharma). Designed for controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) in women undergoing assisted reproductive technology (ART) programs, SJ02 utilizes CTP technology to extend the half-life of FSH. This modification allows a single injection to initiate and maintain follicular growth for one week, potentially replacing the daily injections required by conventional FSH treatments. The drug acts as an agonist of the follicle-stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR). In September 2024, Organon China acquired the exclusive commercialization rights for SJ02 in mainland China, where the drug is currently under regulatory review by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).
