Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SJP-005 is an investigational non-opioid combination drug candidate being developed by Sen-Jam Pharmaceutical for the treatment of stimulant withdrawal and opioid use disorder. The product is a fixed-dose combination of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) **ketoprofen** and the first-generation antihistamine **diphenhydramine**. SJP-005 is designed to target the neuroinflammatory pathways associated with drug withdrawal, craving, and relapse. Preclinical research conducted in collaboration with the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) demonstrated that SJP-005 significantly reduced methamphetamine-induced hyperactivity and withdrawal symptoms in rodent models. Sen-Jam has partnered with KVK Tech to manage the formulation and Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) development of the asset in preparation for an Investigational New Drug (IND) application.
