Overview

SKB336 is a novel, humanized monoclonal antibody that acts as a highly selective inhibitor of coagulation factor XI (FXI) and its activated form FXIa. It binds with high affinity to both FXI and FXIa, thereby inhibiting their activity and prolonging the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), which is indicative of its anticoagulant effect. The drug is being developed primarily for the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic disorders, targeting cardiovascular diseases where inhibition of the intrinsic coagulation pathway may reduce risk without significantly increasing bleeding events. Developed by Sichuan Kelun Botai Biomedicine Co., Ltd., SKB336 has completed Phase 1 clinical trials in healthy volunteers to assess safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity[1][2][4][5].
