Overview

SKG0106 is an investigational, one-time intravitreally delivered gene therapy for ocular diseases, notably neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration (nAMD). It consists of a proprietary recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) vector with a uniquely configured transgene genome encoding an anti-VEGF protein. The therapy is designed to inhibit intraocular neovascularization by delivering the anti-VEGF gene directly to the retina, resulting in durable suppression of abnormal blood vessel growth, reduction of vascular leakage, and mitigation of retinal edema. Preclinical studies have demonstrated potent efficacy and a favorable safety profile. Clinical development is ongoing in both the US and China.
