Overview

SKI-II is a selective non-lipid inhibitor of sphingosine kinase (SK) with an IC50 of 0.5 μM. It does not act at the ATP-binding site and does not inhibit ERK2, PI3K, or PKCα. SKI-II induces apoptosis and inhibits proliferation in several tumor cell lines, displaying potential as an antitumor agent.
