Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SKIC-02 is an investigational mRNA-based therapeutic designed to target C-type lectin-like molecule-1 (CLL1, also known as CLEC12A) and Fms-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3). Developed by West China Hospital of Sichuan University, it is being evaluated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory intermediate-to-high risk acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The drug utilizes mRNA technology to potentially express therapeutic proteins that engage the immune system against AML cells expressing CLL1 and FLT3, which are frequently overexpressed in leukemic stem cells and blasts. It is currently being studied in a Phase 1 exploratory trial in China to assess safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy.
