Overview

SKL15508 is a small molecule partial agonist of the alpha7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (α7 nAChR), developed by SK Biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of cognitive impairment associated with schizophrenia (CIAS). The drug is designed to address cognitive deficits in schizophrenia that are not adequately managed by current antipsychotic therapies. Preclinical studies have shown that it potently relieves signs of cognitive impairment in animal models and demonstrates synergistic effects when combined with existing antipsychotics. It is being developed as an oral formulation and has also been considered for other cognition disorders[1][3][5].
