Overview

SKLB-BiCAR01 is an autologous, dual-targeting chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy at Sichuan University and West China Hospital. The therapy is engineered to simultaneously target B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) and CD19, two proteins highly expressed on the surface of malignant plasma cells in multiple myeloma. By utilizing a bispecific CAR construct, SKLB-BiCAR01 aims to enhance therapeutic efficacy and mitigate the risk of disease relapse caused by antigen escape, which is a significant challenge for single-target CAR-T therapies. It is currently undergoing Phase I/II clinical evaluation for patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
