Overview
SKLB-RP01 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody developed by the Collaborative Innovation Center of Biotherapy (State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy) at Sichuan University for the treatment of severe hepatitis B. As a Class I biological drug, it specifically targets the hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) located on the envelope of the hepatitis B virus (HBV). The mechanism of action involves high-affinity binding to HBsAg to neutralize the virus, thereby preventing the infection of healthy hepatocytes and facilitating the clearance of viral particles from the systemic circulation. This therapeutic approach is intended to reduce viral load and mitigate the progression of severe liver inflammation and damage associated with chronic HBV infection.
