Overview

SL-701 + bevacizumab is an investigational combination therapy for relapsed or refractory glioblastoma (GBM). SL-701 is a peptide-based cancer vaccine immunotherapy composed of three synthetic peptides targeting tumor-associated antigens highly expressed in glioma cells—interleukin-13 receptor alpha-2, ephrin A2, and survivin. The vaccine is designed to stimulate a cytotoxic T-cell immune response against these antigens. Bevacizumab is a monoclonal antibody that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), thereby blocking angiogenesis in tumors. In clinical trials, the combination has shown tolerability and evidence of anti-tumor activity, with improved overall survival compared to historical controls using bevacizumab alone. The regimen may also include poly-ICLC as an adjuvant to further enhance immune activation[1][2][3][4][5][6].
