Overview

**Slamf7-BiTE** refers to a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) antibody construct that specifically targets **SLAMF7 (Signaling Lymphocytic Activation Molecule Family member 7, also known as CD319, CS1, or CRACC)**, a surface receptor highly expressed on multiple myeloma cells and certain immune cells. The Slamf7-BiTE is designed to bind simultaneously to SLAMF7 on tumor cells and CD3 on T cells, thereby redirecting T cell cytotoxicity toward SLAMF7-expressing cells. The mechanism results in targeted T-cell–mediated lysis of myeloma cells, as demonstrated in preclinical models, and may overcome resistance due to antigen escape commonly seen with other therapies like anti-BCMA agents. The use of Slamf7-BiTE is under preclinical or early-phase investigation primarily for the treatment of multiple myeloma[2][4]. Potential challenges observed include cytokine release syndrome and T cell fratricide due to SLAMF7 expression on certain T cell subsets[2].
