Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SLAMF7 CAR-T is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy under development for the treatment of advanced multiple myeloma (MM). This innovative therapy is designed to target the signaling lymphocytic activation molecule F7 (SLAMF7) antigen, which is highly expressed on multiple myeloma cells. The CAR-T cells are manufactured using a virus-free gene-transfer method, specifically the Sleeping Beauty transposon system, and are formulated to contain equal proportions of CD8 cytotoxic and CD4 helper SLAMF7 CAR-T cells. It represents a novel, immune-based approach for patients with MM who have exhausted conventional treatment options.
