Slavinorm

Slavinorm is a peptide-based bioregulator and geroprotector derived from calf aorta extract. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of obliterating atherosclerosis of the lower extremity arteries (peripheral arterial disease). The drug exerts antiatherogenic and antiischemic effects by optimizing the blood-lipid profile—specifically increasing high-density lipoproteins (HDL) and decreasing other cholesterol fractions—and improving microcirculation through the optimization of vascular endothelial function. Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in increasing pain-free walking distance (PFWD) and improving the ankle-brachial index (ABI) in patients with stage IIb atherosclerosis. It is administered via intramuscular injection and has also shown potential antiischemic effects in models of acute myocardial infarction by reducing necrotic zones and post-occlusion arrhythmias.
