SLC-7020

SLC-7020 (SLC7020) is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody developed by Selecxine that selectively targets interleukin-18 receptor beta (IL-18Rβ / IL-18RB), also known as interleukin-18 receptor accessory protein. By inhibiting IL-18Rβ, SLC-7020 prevents the formation of the active IL-18 receptor complex and blocks downstream pro-inflammatory signaling. Unlike IL-18 binding protein (IL-18BP), which non-selectively neutralizes both pro-inflammatory IL-18 and anti-inflammatory IL-37, SLC-7020 preserves IL-37 signaling through the IL-18Rα/IL-1R8 pathway. This selective mechanism suppresses pathogenic IL-18-driven inflammation while maintaining IL-37-mediated immune suppression and physiological homeostasis, making it a promising therapeutic candidate for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
