Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**SLITone** is an ALK-Abelló branded, allergen-specific sublingual immunotherapy product line delivered as once-daily allergen-extract drops in single-dose containers. It is not one fixed molecular entity: the prescribed extract may contain house dust mite allergens, grass pollen, olive pollen, or other allergen preparations and mixtures selected for the patient's clinically relevant sensitizations. Repeated sublingual exposure is intended to induce allergen-specific immune tolerance, reducing allergic symptoms and use of rescue medication. Published studies and registered trials include SLITone Dermatophagoides mixes for house dust mite-associated asthma and allergic rhinitis, as well as house dust mite SLITone in atopic dermatitis.
