Overview
SLITone grass mix plus olive pollen extract is a sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) product designed for the treatment of allergic rhinitis and/or asthma in patients sensitized to both grass and olive pollens. The formulation contains standardized extracts from multiple grass species—specifically Dactylis glomerata, Festuca pratensis, Lolium perenne, Phleum pratense, Poa pratensis—as well as Secale cereale (rye) and Olea europaea (olive). It is administered once daily under the tongue without an updosing phase. The mechanism of action involves allergen-specific immunomodulation by repeated exposure to relevant allergens via the oral mucosa, leading to reduced allergic symptoms and medication use over time. Clinical studies have shown that this therapy can significantly decrease allergy symptoms and improve quality of life in affected individuals[1][2]. Developed by ALK-Abelló.
