Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SLIToneULTRA HDM Mix is a sublingual allergen immunotherapy (SLIT) product developed by ALK-Abelló A/S for the treatment of moderate-to-severe allergic rhinitis induced by house dust mites (HDM). It consists of standardized allergen extracts from the house dust mite species *Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus* (DP) and *Dermatophagoides farinae* (DF), formulated as sublingual drops. The therapy aims to modulate the immune system's response to HDM allergens by inducing IgE-blocking antibodies and promoting immunological tolerance. It was evaluated in the Phase 2 SUMMIT trial (NCT01728298), which demonstrated safety and tolerability across various dose levels (50, 150, and 300 SRU) in adult patients with moderate-to-severe HDM allergic rhinitis not controlled by symptomatic medication.
